Other companies often use animal byproducts as an ingredient in their soap. If you look at the labelled ingredients, you may find “sodium tallowate,” on the label. Sodium tallowate is a conglomeration of animal fats, usually beef fat, but sometimes containing other types of animals. It is a byproduct discarded by the meat packing industry and refined for use in the cosmetic industry. These corporations put profit over health by including cheaper detergents or other harsh chemicals to saponify the fats. Soaps of this type usually have the glycerin removed, which causes the soaps to dry the skin. This leaves the unaware user reaching for more a more costly product, moisturizer, which they also just happen to manufacture.  Often these soaps will contain fragrances which may contain harmful ingredients and use dyes as the colorant.

I believe that what you put on your skin is as important as what you put into your body! The skin is the largest organ, after all! I handcraft all of my personal care products using only the finest ingredients. I use a traditional method of creating a cold-process soap. Then, I blend in beneficial, fragrant essential oils and colorful natural ingredients like cacao and clays to produce a gentle, mild bar of soap that smells AMAZING! No animal by-products are used, and they are 100% vegan. Each bar is cut, hand-stamped, and cured to perfection before being packaged and labeled for use.
